Sexpert Athol Kay has had sex with his wife more than 5 000 times and says it’s the secret to a happy marriage. But this is hardly news, considering the article on SEXYOUALL from August 20, 2010, reported Frequent Sex will Strengthen Your Relationship and Your Love.
In the iol Lifestyle article, Couple had sex more than 5000 times, Athol Kay said that, after two children and 16 years of marriage, they could be more than forgiven for having swopped bedroom gymnastics for a good night’s sleep.

The couple Athol and Jennifer Kay said that aside from illness, they have had sex every day since they tied the knot. This comes to a grand total of a 5,000 times.

Kay, who is now a blogger, is sharing the secrets of his exhausting sex life with frustrated couples, to show that sex does not end with marriage.
According to Kay, the key to a happy marriage is having sex at least twice a week – and “10 seconds of sustained kissing a few times a day”. – Daily Mail
According to the National Opinion Research Center, the average American couple reports having sex 66 times a year. Newsweek has noted that 15% to 20% of couples have sex less than 10 times a year, which is defined as a “sexless” marriage.

Helen Fisher, PhD, a research professor and member of the Center for Human Evolutionary Studies in the department of anthropology at Rutgers University, says couples trigger sex drive, romance, and attachment — along with their attendant hormones, testosterone, dopamine, and oxytocin — with regular sexual activity.

Fisher is an advocate of frequent sex.
